Success Stories - Archive
Since 1850, Brigden, Ontario has been holding its annual fall fair. The Moore Agricultural Society put on the fair, which began Friday morning of October 6th, and wrapped up during the late afternoon of Monday October 9th. People from all over come to this event. There is something for everyone at this fair.
The community of West Elgin, just outside of London Ontario is bursting with energy and excitement. There is always something going on. Two recent events included: “Living History Weekend – Car Tour” and “Cactus, Cattle Cowboys.” Both of these events were a large undertaking, but Mary Lou Kominek, Rural Development Officer was always on top of things, making sure everything ran smoothly.
Youth in rural communities are continually demonstrating their knowledge and skills and building their careers. Andrew Oliver, past Rural Development Officer at the United Way for the City of Kawartha Lakes is no exception. Andrew was fortunate to have an enthusiastic mentor to coach and guide him with his many projects.
